Harvester Missions Trail

1986 In February 1986, Harvester launched into our first missions work. The first mission church was started in Del Gado, Philippines under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Rev Bernard Foo.

Rev James Singh and his wife were the first missionary couple sent out from Harvester  to pioneer our first missions work in the Philippines.

1988 Our first outreach church in the Philippines was started at Janiuay. This was the beginning of many more outreach works and churches to be started in the Philippines.

Rev Bernard Foo took his young family to the Philippines and stayed there for six months, after Rev James Singh and his wife returned to Singapore, to follow up with the works in Philippines.

1989 The programme “My Mission Field” was started in the Philippines for evangelism outreach and church planting. New towns were targetted each year for street evangelism, prayer walks and follow up strategy. This was how we started our churches in Mina, Lambunao and many other towns.

1993 We embarked on our next missionary journey to Malaysia where our first Chinese church was planted in Jementah with the help of the Assemblies of God in Malaysia.

Our first church in Indonesia was started in Yogjakarta, Central Java. Another Indonesian church was planted in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, at a much later time.

We also started churches in Yangon and Mandalay, Myanmar in the same year. The church was handed to the state in 1997 as they were able to self-support.

1994 Our Segamat church in Malaysia was started. Later, a drug rehabilitation centre was also started.

1998 Missions work in Bangladesh started as a result of a foreign worker who received Christ in one of our services in Singapore. He went back to his hometown, shared the gospel and 33 of his people also received Christ.

1999 We made our first mission trip to China to strengthen the churches there.

2003 Missions work in North India started after ten years of conceiving a burden and vision for the nation. A bible training school and a computer school were started as a means of training and outreach.

2005 Rajasthan Harvest Ministries was registered.

2007 Projected plans to reach Indo-China in five years' time through community and social outreach were made.
