Poh Hong Liang’s Testimony

“The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few” – I thank God for the privilege to be part of the team who went to Kalibo, Philippines in June 2017. The mission trip helped me widen my perspective of what God really meant when He said “the harvest is plentiful”.

This was my first mission trip. Through the trip, I realised the importance of reaching people in countries where the Gospel has never reached before. There are many out there who have never heard of the Gospel, and are desperately looking for answers in life.

During the trip, I was given various opportunities (e.g. house-to-house visitations to share the Gospel) which I would not have stepped out to do in Singapore. It is a joy to be able to see people coming to know Jesus and experience God’s love.

My fondest memory of the trip: the outreach on the last night of the trip, when we saw children powerfully touched by God. It reminded me that as young as I am, I can make a difference to lives when I choose to give myself fully to God and allow Him to use me in missions.

God’s heartbeat for His people is to GO and REACH OUT to the nations and beyond. I strongly encourage everyone to GO and experience a life-changing experience for yourselves and for the people in these countries.

“The more we know God, the more we would want to serve Him. The more we serve Him, the more we would know Him.”
