Loving God, Reaching Others.
We build a community of God-loving and God-fearing people who are discipled, equipped and mobilized to turn seekers to follow Jesus at home and abroad.
We are committed to see mission-minded believers raised to plant and establish community outreaches and churches in Singapore and all over the world.
This “Statement of Faith” contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to.

Harvester Community Church (formerly known as Harvester Assembly of God) was founded by Reverend Vincent Cheo in March 1974. During the course of the year, focus was on reaching out to the community in Jalan Kayu through Sunday School children’s programme. By Christmas the same year, there were already a handful of regular church members.
After Reverend Vincent Cheo returned to the Lord on 24 December 1974, a group of young people from Bethel Assembly of God continued the outreach work. The next few years constituted the pioneering stages of Harvester. In addition to the Sunday School, visitations were carried out. The church led a “nomadic life”, having to shift from Jalan Kayu, to YMCA Geylang, to Bedok and to Upper Changi all in the span of the next 10 years.
In 1985, Harvester was officially registered with the Registry of Companies. With intensive outreach work spanning the past many years, the Harvester family had grown from the handful in 1974 to more than 50 members.
With the growing numbers, a new place was required for our gatherings and services. As a result, a huge step of faith was taken as the church moved to RELC auditorium for the Sunday services in 1988. The move was not an easy one. Most of the members stayed in the east and were already so comfortable with church being near home. Such a radical change in location could hardly be welcomed. Also, our church office still remained at Upper Changi and with our services in RELC, logistics problems arose. Furthermore, the church hardly had enough money to rent such a large hall. In spite of the challenges, the church stepped out in faith.
The reward of this faith step was evident. Harvester grew more quickly than ever before. In the following four years when services were held at RELC, the church grew from barely over 50 members to over 200 members.
In 2002, the church took another step of faith to move into Great World City (GWC) as the venue for Sunday services. RELC had become too small to house the growing congregation thus a bigger place is needed.
Since then, Harvester has seen the Lord’s leading and the church has grown from glory to glory. The church moved to its new premise at Sims Avenue in December 2007. Due to its involvement with the community, the church has adopted the new name, Harvester Community Church, since July 2010.
Harvester is also very active in overseas missions. Numerous churches, bible schools and mission bases have been planted that span the entire Asian region since the inaugural church planting work in the Philippines in 1986. The church has brought the love of God to different parts of Southeast Asia. The faithful hand of God has led the church planting works from strength to strength and the faithfulness of God will continue to lead the church into the new season!
